Help young people and also visitors to Sydney find a safe passage home.

As a part of our Stay Kind on Streets philosophy, we have support and manage two initiatives:

  • Take Kare Safe Spaces
  • Take Kare Ambassadors

Take Kare Safe Spaces

Take Kare in actionOur Take Kare Safe Spaces operate in partnership with the local community with the aim “to get all our kids home safely.”

Our Take Kare Safe Spaces provide a welcoming environment for young people to rest and refresh. Young people can charge their phones, receive first aid, rehydrate, find transport home or wait for friends.

The success of our Take Kare Safe Spaces has led to the London replicating this program and opening their first safe space in the Soho precinct, October 2018.

Take Kare Ambassadors

Take Kare TeamOur Take Kare Ambassadors are a key part of Stay Kind. They support young people in the city and help them get home safely. Our ambassadors provide all kinds of support ranging from helping someone safely get to public transport or reconnecting them with friends.

As an ambassador, you will have the opportunity to make a vital contribution in keeping young people safe and improving Sydney’s nightlife. Our ambassadors can be the difference between a young person’s life resuming as normal or disintegrating into something terrible.

From December 2014 to December 2021, we have had over 73 000 interventions and 50 000 hours of collective volunteering.
